Overview
Rivé is a boutique that sells chocolate and flowers together, treating the two as one gifting ritual rather than two separate counters. AWAcyber built the identity around that pairing: a high-contrast serif wordmark whose R and I are drawn as a single conjoined letterform with a sprouting leaf set inside the R's bowl, a five-colour palette that moves between chocolate brown, olive green and dusty rose, and a leaf-and-curve line motif that carries the brand across surfaces where the full lockup would be too heavy. The system was then applied to everything a gift passes through — business cards and stationery, a chocolate bar wrap, a bouquet cone, a square presentation box, and the boutique interior itself.
The Challenge
Chocolate and flowers pull in opposite visual directions: one wants warmth, depth and appetite, the other wants freshness, light and air. A single identity had to hold both without reading as a compromise, and had to survive being printed on matte gift board, a glossy chocolate wrapper, a bouquet cone and an embossed business card — substrates with very different colour behaviour. The wordmark also had to stay legible at the sizes a circular sticker seal and a button badge demand, despite the fine hairlines a high-contrast serif depends on.
Our Solution
The wordmark is a high-contrast serif with a conjoined R-I ligature and a leaf growing inside the R's bowl, stating the flower half of the business inside the letterform rather than adding it alongside, locked to the descriptor 'Chocolate & Flowers' beneath. Six lockups cover the grounds the brand actually prints on: cream and green against olive, gold and brown against chocolate, brown and rose against dusty pink, each paired with a beige ground. The palette runs chocolate brown, cream, dusty rose, gold and olive green, each with 80, 60 and 40 per cent tint steps, which lets a chocolate wrapper lean warm and a bouquet wrap lean fresh while staying inside one system. HelloParis carries display typography and Adobe Arabic covers Arabic setting. A leaf-and-curve line motif derived from the logo's own leaf does the work on surfaces where the full lockup would crowd the composition. Applications span business cards, an A4 letterhead with sketchbook, DL envelope and button badges, a luxury chocolate bar wrap, a bouquet cone with circular seal labels, a square presentation box carrying the line 'where moments bloom', and the retail interior.
